Bosco is a once-disadvantaged pit bull. A stray slated for euthanasia, he was saved by Broadway legend Bernadette Peters and taken to BARC, a no-kill shelter in Brooklyn. His next owner kept him in a basement for several years, before finally returning him to BARC. Frightened and aloof, he struggled to find a new home because he was unsocialized and could not present himself well.
Now firmly ensconced in my home in Pennsylvania, Bosco is learning that the world can be wonder-ful. Bosco-ful.
